Lynchburg Supply Pastor Bonded On Drunk Chargei-iLYNCHBURG lt;AP) ~ Carroll Whitfield Braden, lay supply pastor of four Methodist churches, ■has been released on $200 bond on charges of drunkenness and carrying a concealed weapon.Officer R. L. Dudley said Braden was arrested late Tuesday night after be roused a Lynchburg couple out of bed by representing himself as a federal agent searching For narcotics,Dudley said the husband told his wife to go next door to call police and that Braden then drove away. The husband followed in his car until he was able to get the license number on Bcadcn’s automobile, Dudley said.The officer said when Braden was arrested :a short lime later he was carrying a pistol in a shoulder holster.'
