Forest says he warned Shadd to leave the premises, but the fellow was stubborn and attempted ti hit him with a rock, whereupoD he leveled upon him with his gun and emptied the contents of oue barrel into the left aide of Shadd, the load taking effect just below the heart.This, of course broke up the * game/'Shaid was taken to a neirby 1 house, where Dr. Burleysou i a* cdled to a'tend him.
