II Town«blp -Al ] Inn I'orcsi N ho or PI SWnpjr HhnUil for j j Tnrowlnjf Hook* hi Him Hon»e~ ^Ntuuld Mny Die. 1A bloody shooting affiir cceurred in No. 6 township, near the Fisher \ gold mines, about 10 o'clock Thursday night, last.Atlas Forest, a negro, lives on Wiley Klutt’s place and Sidney ] Shadd, who worked at the mine, boarded with him. ,After sappar several negroes congregated at Forest’d house for a “game” (what kind we were unable i o lea n) and after sporting for some time the Shadd negro began cursing and cutting up at a terrible rate, and was ordered out of the house.Shad I went into the yard and began chunking rocks at the house. Forest says he warned Shadd to leave the premises, but the fellow was stubborn and attempted ti hit him with a rock, whereupoD he leveled upon him with his gun and emptied the contents of oue barrel into the left aide of Shadd, the load taking effect just below the heart.This, of course broke up the * game/'Shaid was taken to a neirby 1 house, where Dr. Burleysou i a* cdled to a'tend him.
