CHARGED WITH MURDER.Arrest of an Aged Man Who IsWanted in Texas.Portland, Or., Sept. 17.-— James D. Taylor. 77 years of age, wanted in Waco, Tex., for killing Louis Rehart in November, 1880, was arrested nine miles froru this city to-day by the Sheriff of this county.When arrested Taylor was working in alumber camp. He submitted to arrest quietly and did not attempt to deny the crime. He was manager of a laree plantation near Waco and Rehart was employed at the same place.The men bad trouble, and Taylor claims he killed Kebart in self-defence. Taylor was at one time Sheriff of Hill County, • Tex.
