burglary by policeThe house is owned by Mamie Watkins of 2517 Mahon St., Pittsburgh.Burglars reportedly gained entrance through a rear garage door, and then made their way into the house.Items stolen were: 56 stereo tape cartridges valued at $280; a Daisy BB gun; a hand axe; and six dollars in change. Police are continuing an investigation.An attempted burglary at the Sandycreek Elementary School is also being probed by officers.Fred Paul Kay of Franklin HD 1, supervisor of maintenance for the Franklin Area School District, reported the burglary attempt on Saturday.Unknown persons apparently tried to remove a window pane at the school after taking putty from around the frame. In addition, 10 gallons of dishwashing liquid was thrown on the back doors of the school.a man for car theft early Unlay. Kona Id Wilson Terrill of Mif-flinburg HD 2 was apprehended at the Quaker Sate Plaza in Scrubgrass Township.He was, at that time, in possession of an auto that was reported stolen. The owner of the car was Luther Thomas of Mifflinburg HD 2. A. warrant was reportedly out for Terrill's arrest.
