The Crawford Journal says that “Seneca Oil” has been discovered near Titusville, in the eastern part of that County. A gentleman named Dmaiut after boring down TO feet has struck a vein from whieh he is taking out fifteen barrels of oil per day. This oil in its crude state is said to be worth $40 per barret Great excitement prevails in Titusville andvicinity.P. S. Since the above was put in type, a correspondent has seat us an account of the matter whieh we will give in our next.
