(AP! — A petition for a new trial by a woman convicted of killing two state policemen almost 10 years ago has been denied by Delaware County President Judge Francis J. Catania.Marilyn Ann Dobrolenski. formerly from Ohio, is currently serving two life sentences at the state Correctional Institution at Muncy after pleading guilty to murder in the deaths of two Delaware troopers in January 1972.She was 19 at the time.Her petition claimed she was coerced into a confession without an attorney representing her and denied other constitutional rights.Catania denied the petition after a three-hour hearing Tuesday.Ms. Dobrolenski was captured and her companion, Irving Hogg Jr.. 30, was killed on the Eastern Shore on Maryland on Jan, 5,1972.Troopers Donald L. Carey, 29, and David C. Yarrington, 24, had been slain hours earlier outside the Concord Motel in Concord, Pa. The troopers had pursued them to Pennsylvania after a motel robbery in Talleyville, Del.
