Inquestcalled intoFlannerydrowningThe Chief Medical Examiners’ Office has called an inquest into the drowning death of Keith Herbert Flannery, whose body was discovered floating in the Assini-boine River July 15.Flannery had been missing from the Brandon Mental Health Centre for 11 days.He was committed to the institution last year when he was found not guilty by reason of insanity on charges of murdering his father and cousin.A spokesman for the office said this morning that the decision was made to hold an inquest after the Inquest Review Committee met Thursday in Winnipeg. The spokesman said that an inquest must be held into any violent death of a mental institution resident.The date of the inquest will be announced by the Crown attorney’s office in Brandon
