Projected% __I Deadline For%9t The new Franklin County jail t facility was to be finished by Oct. . 3 when the contract was signed, . but job foreman Ray Richardson ; said today a more realistic ; completion date would be Dec. 1.He said the structure was i presently about 80 per cent complete.Richardson said neither the | weather nor a union picket caused the slow-down.‘‘It’s just the type of job it is,”| he said.[ He said the job was “tight’ ’ andthat everything must go in a ’ specific order such as plumbing and electricity which have been subcontracted.A delay by any of the sub-, contractors, then, would delay ; the progress of the entire job.He said steel for the jail cells ’ was scheduled to be set in place late this week.
