Lear case nearing endTestimony Is expected to be completed today in the hearing of Lowell Lear o! Washington Cross* ing. who pleaded guilty yesterday to the May 18 slaying of his wife. Winifred.He had been charged with murder by the Bucks County District Attorney.Testifying on the stand yesterday afternoon was Delford Lear. Lowell's brother. Delford said that the victim had lived in his Trevcse apartment with him the week prior to her death.Following Delford Lear on the stand was Dr. Samuel B. Willard Bucks County coroner. Willard testified that the victim had been stabbed five times and the cause' of death was a wound in the center of the chest that penetrated the heart It is expected that Lowell Lear will take the stand today. The hearing is taking place before Judge Lawrence A. Monroe. It is believed the judge wiG order a psychiatric evaluation for the defendant and sentencing will be deferred pending outcome of the results
