Three Arrested in Shiloh HoldupSolution of the Labor Day robbery of Mrs. Mellisa Kennedy, wealthy form widow of Shiloh, of $1400 was announced Monday by County Attorney Roy Lewis.Three men, arrested in East Texas, were in the county jail in Groes-beck, he said, and charges were filed in Justice of Peace Howard Wright’s office in Mexia, charging Cliff Dnvie, 23, of Overton, former-iy of Navarro county, Felix Goss, 32, of Kilgore, and Joe Rhamblin, 30, formerly of Limestone county, with robbery by assault.Shamblin is a brother in law of Reuben Kennedy, son fo Mrs. Kennedy. Reuben was bound and figged and left in a wagon when the three men robbed Mrs. Kennedy of currency she had on her person Monday night.When arrested Goss had $1707 on him, He made a complete statement to officers, Lewis said.When a $500 noie, large size, was cashed at the Federal Reserve Bank at Dallas officers were notified. They traced the money toGoss, who admitted part in the robbery. Two Dallas detectives aided in solution of the robbery, and the county prosecutor said a complete line of evidence was obtained.Bond was set at $10,000 each, and the grand jury will be asked to return to work during the week to consider the cases. Goss was arrested Saturday night in Kilgore. He took officers to Tyler to the a-partment of Shamblin. Officers Sunday night raided this place, and Shamblin and Davie fled into the arms of waiting officers in the rear of the apartment.Police Chief Bob Goss of Kilgore arrested the Kilgore man, of tho same name but no relation. Detectives Luther and Delk of Dallas, a deputy sheriff, Ross Parker, of Smith county, Sheriff Will Adams and Attorney Lewis were on the arresting party.Goss BQid the loot was a little more than $1400, but he was given the larger cut on condition he take the big note. He said he ran the amount up to $1707 in a poker game.
