Jewish Juniors Open SeasonThe firsC meeting of the current ear of the Monongahela 'Valley Section, National Council of Jewish Juniors* was* held on Tuesday evening, Sept. 10 at the home ofMisses Rose and Ella Bergstein.The meeting was in charge of newly elected president, Esther Cheikin, with Rose Bergstein as vice-president, Leah Lucker, Sec-u’tary, Mildied Wayne, treasure!, and Charlotte Wayne, Chaplain.Business matteis were discussed with reports from chairman of the \ summer social affairs held by the group, which included a weiner i oast at the City Park, in June, a picnic at the Miller faim in July, and a swimming party in August held at Clairton Beach, with Charlotte Samuels, Lillian Krasik, andMarion Caplan serving as cnair-ladies.Final plans were discussed for the delegates. and alternates to attend the state convention of the National Council of Jewish Jun-ids, which is being held at the Ritz-Cariefcon Hotel m Philadelphia the week of Oct. 2,6. Delegated elected aie Esther Cheikin and Rose Bergstein, with Charlotte Samuels and Lena Nathinson as altei natesA card party to be held on Monday, Sept. 26 was announced by chan man Leah Lucker, at the-A. Z. A. House on Schoonmaker avenue.The meeting was followed by the serving of a lovely lunch by the hostesses.
