Anthony Pauley, of Oleott, was killed. ami Charley Clendenin, al-assailant, is hiding in the mountains between Oleott and |art-mont, following a shooting supposed to have grown out of a quarrel between the Pauley and Clendenin families some time I tiday morning.The shooting took plane on the railroad traeks of the Pd ink Hand Coal eoinpany and in the renter of the Olrolt settlement. Speelators declare that while no one knew what ensued between the tsso men when they met and beg-tu an argument onIh tracks, after the talk had lastedlor some minutes, Pauley turned and ran down the track. At the same time, r.lendenin drew a revolver, and before Pauley had taken ten steps, fired. Pauley fell with a bullet through his heart.
