I n- Iusual Discovery Made by Men Laying Water Lines.A portion of the skull and some ofthe hair of a soldier, killed at Getty s- 'burg, and evidently a member of (the Confederate army, were foundj fon Monday afternoon at the camp of f the blst Infantry, immediately east jof the Kmmitsburg Hoad and oppositethe Bakery Company camp. With theparts of the body were found a largelt;supply of Confederate bullets andsome equipment.The find was made by men who1were working there, lowering theIwater mams below the frost line. The*bullets were first found No less thanteighty three were unearthed when allhad been dug out. Many of them!still contained some of the powder«With the bullets were found a partof the cartridge box, one mime ball,1n part of the soldier's woolen blanket,and of his gum poncho or coatSearch about the place, which conitinued almost until dark, failed to reveal any other bones than the piece Iof skull and to-day the hunt for morebullets was resumed. Some of them succeeded and will carry trophies alongwith tlu rn to the “other side”, thereto display the missiles of fifty fouryears ago with the spent weapons ofto day.
