Sneed's many friends —from ordinary citizens to high police officials, Sat. paid tribute to the reugged policeman who was admired and respected by everyone who came in contact with him. An estimated 700 personsjammed the auditorium of Corinthian Baptist Church for the lieutenant's last rites.Among the mourners, morethan a score of his fellow officers were in attendance.It was a solemn, often weepingcrowd that listened to the Rev. Stephen Wells deliver the eulogy.The *widow. Mrs. Addie Sneed, who has been seriously ill, had to be carried into the church.The department was officiallyrepresented by Rev. John Morris,who aside from his duties as pastor of Westside Baptist Church, is also a member of the policeforce.
