Saturday night Jas. Duke and assistants arrested two white men and an Indian for attempting to ride the east bound passenger out of the city. No sooner than they were safely jugged, Isobel Crus, a Mexican! came and charged them with stealing bis clothes. The clothes were fpund in possession of one of the white men and the In*: dian. They were tried before’ |Justice Millican Monday and: plead guilty and were fined $25. They were taken to Lockhart, by Sheriff Sanders that evening! to do service on the cdnnty road.
