JURY IN CRUMP CASE DISAGREEFAIL TO AGREE ON VERDICT AFTER DELIBERATING FOR EIGHTEEN HOURSJudge Berry Grants Applicationfor Bail and Crump Will be Re-leased Under Bond Until Case is Called For Trial Again. Relatives and Friends Will Furnish Bond. ——1 ...........After being out over eighteen hours, the jurv in the Crump murder case failed to agree on a verdict and they were discharged by the court Sunday morning. The arguments closed at about 11:00 o’clock Saturday morning and the court immediately gave his instructions to the jury which took about thirty minutes time. The jury then retired to the jury room an organized after which they were escorted to dinner by Baliff Ben Ladd. They began their deliberations about 1 o’clock and it is said the first ballot was 6 for conviction for manslaughter and six for acquittal. Eighteen ballots in all were taken and it is reported that all the ballots were the same as the first. A few minutes past 8 o'clock Sunday morning the foreman notified the baliff that the\ wanted to report to the Court. As there was no possibility of the jury reaching a verdict, they were discharged by Judge Berry.HABEAS CORPUS PROCEEDINGS
