NORTON FINCH TESTIFIESMrs. Norton Finch stated that Crump came to their house about 9 o'clock of the morning of the tragedy and asked for her husband but Mr. Finch was not at home. Said he had given McGregor a whipping and wanted her husband to accompany him to Otterbein where he could pay a fine. He showed her his fist that he said he had injured in the fight : with McGregor. Mrs. Finch was not cross examined by the defense. Geo. Finch, son of Norton Finch was the last witness used by the state but he was a poor witness and his evidence _ did not amount to anything.
