Sgt. Daniel Schoen, 1st Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and Staff Sgt. Erin Schoen, 1st Special Operations Medical Operations Squadron, willbe at Commando Hangar.The couple was walking their dogs on South Pawnee Drive just south of the entrance to the Navarre YMCA a few blocks from their home at about 7:30 p.m. when they were struck by a pickup truck driven by 20-year-old Robert Lynn Hill of Deer Lane.Daniel Schoen was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife died the next day at a Pensacola hospital. One of their dogs died, while theother was uninjured. He has two young daughters, while she leaves two young sons.Hill left the scene but turned himself in the nextday.He has been charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident involving death and one count of perjury. Florida Highway Patrol public information officer Lt. Steve Preston in Pensacola said Hill gave a swornstatement that was foundto be untruthful based on other evidence.The FHP still is looking for people with information about the accident.
