recep tinstumto fetei fa rryh insnHoard of trusteesThe board of Trustees of the California Arboretum Foundation will host a reception and dinner honoring Mrs Harry WRobinson in the DemonstrationGardens at the Los AngelesState and County Arboretum on Sept 10.Mrs Robinson will be feted inrecognition of her generous gift of the “Virginia RobinsonGardens’’ to the people of Los Angeles County She has donated her Beverly Hills estate to the County for preservation and use as a public arboretum and botanic garden To maintain the property she is bequeathing to the California Arboretum Foundation an endowment fund of one milliondollarsHer wishes to found the“Virginia Robinson Gardens’’ have been realized after many months of negotiations between the Foundation, the Director ofthe Department of Arboreta and Botanic Gardens, the Coun-and Mrs Robinson’s at-tytornev, Odell McConnell.
