*4Vs r -lt;•STERNJUSTICEFilling Station Robber Is Given Sentence of Fifteen Years[SPECIAL TO THE TIMES]CROWN POINT, Iiul., Sept. * 5.—Judge Martin Smith bore down hard on transgressors yesterday afternoon when he handed out heavy penalties to half a dozen defendants brought before him in Criminal court.Mrs. Emma Wilson, who runs the Forest Inn at Cedar Lake, objective of two recent raids by Sheriff Kyle, was found guilty on four counts, possessing*, selling and manufacturing liquor and maintaining a nuisance. She was given a sentence of €0 ay in the woman's prison and fined $100 on each count. The fines and costs amount to more than $600.Walter L*ambert who left his wife and baby at the edge of Crown Point several weeks ago while he robbed a filling station attendant of $66, entered a plea of guilty and was given a prison sentence of 15 years. His wife, Daisy, who was wanted for passing bad checks in a number of cities in the central part of the state, was turned over to the Marion county sheriff last week.Leroy Cunningham, Tommy Alt-more and Morris Piunti, all of Gary were given sentences of one to 10 years when they pleaded guilty to the charge of rape. They were arrested June 11 after they had taken a 16-year-old Gary girl to Black Oak where they assaulted her.Robert Moore who hekl up the grocery store of John Jakowslci of Kast Chicago several weeks ago, taking $200, entered a plea of guilty and was given a 10-year sentence.]itci\itcI1tlt;1
