Levi Rogers and Harry Wells, both of this city were indicted for burglary. They robbed live farmers of chickens in August and a New Londou court sent them to jail for 12.' days. In the meauwhile the Federal authorities issued a warrant on Rogers for boot-legging, then Gov. Jackson sent him back to the penitentiary to serve out his unexpired term for a previous chicken stealing offence. Taken altogether Kogers has considerable “time to do before him. Wells has served a term in the penitentiary, and figured extensivly before the local court for minor offenses. lie was arrigned and will plead tomorrow morning. J, 0. McCoid being appointed his attorney. Rogers will be brought up to stand trial also.
