Kiester Bank Robber Given 15 Years in State PrisonMINNEAPOLIS UF — A brawny Wisconsin railroad worker who told the court he returned to crime because he was atraid of losing his job was sentenced to 15 years in prison today for the 117,700 robbery of the First National Bank of Kiester, Minn.Robert E. McDonald, 42, formerly of Altoona. Wis., drew the sentence in U.S. district court here after pleading guilty a month ago to bank robbery and interstate transportation of a stolen car.Judge Gunnar Nordbye imposed a 15-year term on the robbery charge and 5 years on the other but stipulated that the sentenceswill run at the same time.
