Sanity Questioned!Commission Suggests Mother, Daughter Go To Institution; Slew Babe, ChargedThe sanity commission appointed by the court this week to investigate the-condition of Mrs. Hazel Hall and her daughter, Arabella Glass, of Henry Clay township made its report before Judge H. S. Dumbauld Friday afternoon recommending that the pair be committed to a mental institution.The commission composed of Drs. E. B. Edie and James E. VanGilder and Attorney J. Espev Sherrard, heard as witnesses Arabella Glass, j Hazel Hall, Dr. R. C. Hough, District' Attorney James A. Reilly, Trooper John E. Gettier, Warden and Mrs. E. H. McClelland, Mrs. Frances Kelrstead and J. H. Humberston. Hearings were held on August 31 and September 2.Mrs. Hall was indicted Friday ona charge of killing her daughter's illegitimate child while the daughter is. charged with concealing the death of her child.In each case, the commission reported insanity. In the case of Mrs. Hall, the commission found that the woman had criminal tendencies.The report stated: “Examination shows mental deficiency as evidenced in inabilit.i to answer questions showing general knowledge, to calculate or to repeat anything taught in school or church. . She does not appreciate the difference between right and wrong.”The report was approved bv Judge H. S. Dumbauld.District Attorney Reilly recommended that the commission be appointed after hearing preliminary phases of the case. ~
