Patrolman Fishburnof the New Mexico State Police arrested Joe Cavatal, from Chicago, 111. Aug, 26, 1970 on suspicion of use of drugs. He died August 29, 1970, cause of death pending autopsyreport.On August 29, 1970 Margaret E. Mellon, age 19 was arrested on the charge of unlawful use of dangerous drugs. She has been released on $1,000.00 bond to appear at later date.Albert Park Shaw III, age 23and Nick Patterson, age 2 2, were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs. Theyhave been released on $2,500. bond each, to appear for trial on September 10, 1970. They are all from Ruidoso.
