FWS Stream Guard and 7 Fishermen Arrested For Bribery and ConspiracyKETCHIKAN, UH—A southeastern Alaska Fish and Wildlife Service stream guard and seven commercial fishermen were under arrest on charges of bribery and conspiracy to allow two boats to fish in closed waters.The fishermen included George MacKie, Ketchikan, captain of the fish packer Fairbanks; and Frank Jones, 26, skipper of the seiner Brae. The arrests were announced by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.The FBI named the other six men as:Lewis Staudt, 27, the stream guard; and Andrew and Cecil Dyakanoff, Carl Noon, John Jensen and Ed Polk, all crewmen of the Brae. \Staudt was accused, the FBI j said, of accepting bribes on four occasions, totaling $350, to allow the Brae to fish in Hunter Bay, I which has been closed to com- .j mercial fishing.
