Dora Borth, wife of Adolph Borth, residing west of town, has filed a slander suit against Carl Baum in the Porter circuit couH. The complaint states that on August 1st, 1903, the defendant in the presence of divers persons made sensational statements against her, which arc untrue, for the purpose of injuring her character. One charge is that he accused her of associating with the negro now in jail on the charge of rape. She asks judgment for $3,000.
