The children, of one of the families dropped the hat and from .all-appear-. ances the hat has not been picked up, it still is lying there in the street and as the bone of contention, will be fought over in the police courts.Five affidavits were filed this morning as a starter to the. work of settling the fight by means of the law,* Joseph Streeter, once a ’squire, made a charges against James F. : Barton, asking that he be held under peace bond.
