Ait Indignation Meeting.The colored citizen** held an iodig-nation meeting at Ebenezer M. E-Church to look into the sentence of Henry Thornton, colored, whc mar* ned the white woman. Alex Smith was made chairman, and Frank An* derson, secretary. A committee drew up some resolutions, but they were rejected. The debaters got into a squabie with each other, and 110 definite action was taken. The matter of taking action to have the law prohibiting colored men from marnyiog white women wa3 taken up and discussed. A committee was appoinned to draw up resolutions to be submitted to the colored people of the city, andthen submitted to the legislature was appointed. The committee is to call a meeting when they have their resolutions prepared. Our informant was unwilling to give us any more inform* ation on the subject, and reporters were not admitted, although some of the people were in fayor of admitting them.
