3 Deny Guilt fn Death ofc iValley Man; By MICHAEL POLLOCK* Three Van Nuys men *have pleaded innocent in 'Superior Court in Van Nuys no charges of murder and ^robbery in connection with !the bludgeon-slaying of a ^4Chy ear-old Tarzana man,« ^The defendants, John Kendal Dowis 27, and John Ralph Radcliffe 13, both of 342J7 Vanowen St., and Ronald Oliver Reach 22, of 14722 Vanowen St., entered their pleas to the charges Friday before Superior Court Judge William Rosenthal in Van Nuys.June Incident Cited .Judge Rosenthal scheduled trial for Oct. 26 in Dept. S of Superior Court in Van Xu vs~TThe defendants are accused of murdering Richard Lee Williams of 18122 .Miranda St., in art incident June 12.Police allege that the defendants lured Williams to a Van Nuys apartment.Investigators reported that Wilhams was robbed, and beaten with a hammer in the apartment and his body was placed in a trunk and dumped over an embankment in Big Tujunga Canyon.Warrants IssuedThe defendants were arrested after homicide investigators from Van Xuy* Area received information June 23 that led them to believe that a crime had been committed.A follow-up investigation resulted in arrest warrants being bivorn out for the men.Dowis surrendered to authorities in Van Nuys. Radcliffe turned himself in in Chattanooga, Tenn.r and Reach was apprehended in Canada.Bail for Dowis and Radcliffe ha9 been set at S50,000. Reach is being held in lieu of posting 8100,000 bail. -
