4 Seizeds-spotted the four men at Penn and Patterson sts., and arrested s’S them.CHESTER — Three men and a miking, sik-fobt, IT-year-old youth were held without 'ball-for courtin charges of aggravated assault j -~ 5 ind battery and attempted rob-oery after one of the quartet ad-mittted in police court today {-knocking down and kicking a ’»5-year-old man at 6th and Crosby sts. at 12:40 p.m. yesterday.“You all must feel pretty good today after thumping an old man like this,'* commented-Magistrate Anthony H. Smith as he held them.Amadio Massi of 1109 Chestnut st, the victim, a small, stooped man, stood by silently. He had just identified the following being in the pack that attacked him: William C. Brown, IS, of the 1700 block W. 3rd St.; Edward Ross Jr., 17, of the 1800 block Harris st., Chester Township; Hercules C. Bell, 22, of the 2500 block Thomas av.. Twin Oaks, and Lester L. Logan, 20, of the 1200 block Monis st.Brown testified-at the hearing that he punched Massi, felling him. Then, he said, he kicked him. But he absolved his companions of c participation in the attack.Brown also confessed that he was in a group which set off a burglary scare yesterday at a Sun Ray drug store on Edgmont av. near 6th st., when police with drawn revolvers responded to an alarm.Massi, a ‘‘junker,’* had just sold old paper to Smed!ey*s Junk Yard at 6th and Crosby when the attack occurred. He was counting 96 cents he had gotten in the transaction when the quartet surrounded him.William *P. Morgan. 44, of 615 Crosby st, an employe at the junk yard witnessed the attack.
