Molly Nichols, the celebrated Water street nymph du pave, got on a spree yesterday afternoon, and in company with a female companion and a male admirer, indulged in a hack ride. In the course ofher peregrinations she reached the yidnity of the South Depot, and being convinced that it was a long time between drinks, she stopped at the saloon of Ed. Driscoll for the purpose of getting some liquor. Ed. Driscoll is, however, particular about the character of his customers, and when he saw that 'twas Molly who approached, he held the door so that she could not get in. A.t this Molly naturally became enragedand swore that she would get in, and get in she did. Driscoll politely informed her that she cou d have nothing to drink whereat she became enraged and swore she would stay until she did. Thereupon Driscoll went for an officer, but of course could not find one, but when he came back the fair but frail Molly had 'left, having broken two or three panes of glass from the front windows. Driscoll at once proceeded to the office of Justice Ryan and filed an affidavit against her. She was brought into court in an intoxicated condition, and after furnishing the bystanders with a choice string of profanity she was released on her own recognizance to appear for trial at ten o’clock this morning.
