Steiner beooming intoxi-cated, proceeded to the house of .Mr. Hardesty on South Main street and undertook to gain entrance. Polfoeman Warren and Trump being notified went to the rescue and took in George, who claimed he meant no harm. Tbeoffioers not being of his belief took charge and George put up his watch against his appearance when wanted. His partner, more fortunate, eluded the officer* and escaped by use of the team hitched where. A complaint was filed gaifi£t George in Justice Young’s court. v-Charles Potter today swcre ant a warrant in Justice Youngs’ \eonrt against Edward Kurtz chargingVhim with assault and battery on Sadie Ptfcer The parties reside in Benton township.Michael Rigney appeared before Justice Young and entered a plea of guilty to the charge of assault and battery preferred by Alonzo Cox, where upon the court assessed him $9.50.
