One day lust week, while Mr. McBride was at work near Manckport. a voting man by the name of Kitterman. recently from Kentucky, went to McBride's residence and told Mrs. McBride that Mr. McBride's wanted Kitterman to yet. McBride's mule team and haul the latter a load of feed to Mauek-port. Kitterman hitched the mules to a wagon. loaded on some feed and started with the team. Instead of leaviny the McBride lvsiden e in the direction of Manckport, Kitterman started with the team in the direction of New Albany. Mrs. McBride be-Vcame suspicious and sent for her husband. On the road to New Albany Kitterman met M. W. Funk to whom lie proffered to sell the mules.
