Cincinnati Commercial: J. C. j Hussey* a resident of North Vernon, -Ind., mode the acquaintance in this ( city, day before yesterday, of a plausi-bly-spoken man narued S. Miller, who after a few minutes’ conversation learned fbat Hassey was the owner of h large and flourishing farm near North Vernon. Miller then statedethat he would like to trade a villa that he possessed on the Hudson fpr the farm. A bargain was closed. Hassey in return for a fraudulent deed for the Hudson real estate, and some , worthless railroad bonds, giving Miller a deed in fee simple for the Indiana farm. Miller took the first train for North Vernon, and sold his acquisition to some one living near there for 818,000 cash, and then returned to this city, where he was arrested yesterday, and locked up, on a complaint made by the victim, who was not long in discovering the swindle.
