Investigators said: McCallister reportedly went to Mrs. McCallister’s Rice home just before 6:00 a.m., entered the house and thenreturned to his automobile andgot a rifle. He then re-entered the house and fired two shots at Ward at point-blank range, striking Ward in the chest andarm.
