Purchases, ProgramsApproved At WestfallThe Westfall Board of Education rnet in special session Monday evening to discuss several purchases and participation in two programs for thedistrict.The board authorized the purchase of a tractor and mower for the Darby Elementary School to replace the ones stolen. Also, mats for each end of the middle school’s gymnasium and two calculators for the business education departments were authorized by the board. The calculators are to replace those used in the clerks office in Jackson and Monroe Schools. The purchase of an additional microphone for the high school was approved by the board.The replacement of a front section ot the coal furnace at Monroe School was approved by the Westfall board. If a new or used section cannot be located the board will have to replace theState Auditorentire unit at an estimated cost of$7200.Authorization was given to participate in the Title Four program for the 1977 fiscal year. Richard Everman was named director of the program.A discussion was held concerning the implementation of a tutorial program for learning disability handicapped students in the district.
