dism Ruined Holiday FunClFiSevenaYear Old GirlTO: The nasty individuals who went out of their way to make a little girl have an unhappy Halloween:I hope you derived some sick satisfaction out of taking and then smashing in the street the two smiling-faced pumpkins placed in front of the lamp-post at 317 N. Carlyle. They were even staked to the ground so youreally had to work hard at your task of being destructive.IT MADE THE little 7 year old girl who lives there extremely unhappy and I’m sure that I gave you much pleasure. IIt was such fun for her picking out and purchasing just the right pumpkins at the farmer’s! stand and she worked very hard at carving those faces so thatthe smiling pumpkins could give a bit of pleasure to all that passed along the way.But you didn't even let the pumpkins smile one night, for within hours after they were placed in front of the corn husk | covered lamp-post, the two happy faced pumpkins lay smashed in the street.OBVIOUSLY, to you pleasureis destruction and hurting others. If this is the way in which you find pleasure, I feel very sorry for you, your parents, and the community in which you live — for you certainly are not a credit to yourself or anyone around you.Mrs. M.
