Must Pay $122 or Spend Four Months in Jail for His Assault on McCarthy. The trial of Frank McNulty, of West port, for assault and battery on Martin McCarthy, in Schwhert’s saloon in the Stath ward. Saturday night, October 15, was finished in the municipal court this morning, and inside of 15 minutes the jury returned a verdict of guilty. The court imposed a fine of ® W and cos's, the latter amounting to $72, a total of $122 with the alternative of four months to jail. He has not been able to raise the money yet, and went to jail
