Halvert county, Mil., that one of the slave (juurters of Mr. Henry (!. iS- Man-bort, was discovered to be on lire on Friday night last, and it was soon ascertained that two colored children were locked up inside, the mother having built a lire and gone off to a night meeting, leaving the children, one of *! years and the other about (i months old, asleep inside. All efforts to rescue them proved of no avail. The body of one of them was found next morning, beneath the ruins.
