One of the employes put up a diamond pin to secure the money to make the trip, going with Tlisvor. Thayer, after arrival, excused himself 1“ eo to his room a moment, and failed to return. The collector is said to have been left in Kansas City without funds upon which to get hack home.This evidently is the same George D. Thayer who spent some months about Mena something more than a year ago. undertaking to promote the building of a railroad to Hot springs.
