LIQUOR MENAre Again Hanled Over the Coals for Law Breaking—GossipAbout it.The city authorities do not find it as difficult to punish violators of the law as they sometimes tell us.A short time ago they decided thatthe liquor dealers should close their houses at 12 o’clock at night and until noon eaoh Sunday morning, giving them an hour’s grace at night and the best half of the Sabbath day. Every violation of this liberal restriction has been followed by prompt arrest and punishment. This morning the officers filed the following affidavits:Snyder McFeely, keeping Occidental saloon open after 12 o’clock Saturday night.Adam Bopp, of Barr street, selling liquor to minors.John and Fred Leichner, selling liquor Sunday morning. They wili all settle and look pleasant. It may be news to say right here, that the saloon men propose that butchers,/ bakers, grocers, cigar men and local; brewers shall likewise observe the Sunday law, and they have emissaries at work to watch all yioalations.Very shortly we will have an pld fashioned blue law observance of the Sabbath.
