ESCAPED FROM PRISON FARM, FOONDINBEDPercy Sunday, 30, Jim-town, Taken Into Custody Friday.Percy Sunday, about 30, who has acquired a variety of tricks in the course of his troubles with the authorities of three counties, uncorked a new one Friday midnight, but it looked too original to the sheriff and a party of deputies who had had some former acquaintance with Sunday and they seized the opportunity to bring Sunday back to jail.Authorities of the Maryland penitentiary farm at Roxbury, from which the prisoner escaped last Sunday night, were notified Paturday.lt is expected that Sunday will be tried by Washington county authorities for breaking* Jail, and vail also be taken to the penitentiary at Baltimore to serve the remaining ten months of a sentence for which he was at Roxbury.The arrest was made by Sheriff Charles W Crum and Deputies William E Foreman, J Ruskrn Loy and Paul Hoffman at the home of one of Sunday’s friends, a man by the name of Lidie, between jlratown and Black's mill, southeast of*Thurmont. The sheriff’s office had received word that Sunday had come back to his home county and had been keeping a quiet look-out for him since the escape was reportedThe sheriff’s party gained access to the Lidie house without difficulty, but not until Sunday had taken advantage of a moment m which to hide He was found lying in a bed between the mattress and bedstead, v.ith three of the children m the home lying on top of the mattress. The officers said it looked like a game of “more sacks on the mill ”Sunday at first resisted arrest, but submitted when he saw that it was useless to put up a fight He was immediately brought back to jailSunda\ has been indicted bv localgrand juries for liquor selling andforging checks. The first case was stettod, but Sunday recened a House of Correction sentence on the second Following his return from that sentence, he was apprehended for Carrol1 county authorities on another forgery charge* and was sen mg sentence on that conviction at the time or his escape
