A Stabbing; Affray.Scarcely a day passes that our enterprising city does not give evidence of its approach to metropolian preportions. From our private detective, sitting on the coat tail of the robbers, without discovering the spoons lie is putting into his pockets, to a genuine stabbing aflfray we are metropolitan in every respect.Yesterday afternoon, Frank Sliger and a younger brother were quarrelling over some matter that was likely to end in trouble. Will Sliger, an elder of the brothers, attempted to in-terfere. In taking the younger brother* part he struck Frank, who began to back out of the fray.He was backed up against a team, where he received a kick from Will Sliger, to which lie replied by a stab, with a knife. I'he cut whs received in the left side about the seventh or eighth rib, the knife struck the rib and and glanced downward cutting through the outer wall of the bodv into the abdominal cavity. He was carried to a store near by and the assistance of l)r. E. B. Marshall called.The doctor stated to us this morning that the hemorage from the wound was very great, and very dangerous if much blood had escaped into tin* abdo-nnnial cavity. At this writing we have no reports of the condition of the patient.
