Murder Jury TrialThe jury trial of State of Indiana vs Robert S. Brummett, 23, 1622 Adams St., Lafayette, opens Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in Clinton Circuit Court at Frankfort. Judge Samuel Conkright will preside. The case was venued from Carroll Circuit Court in May to Clinton Circuit Court. Brummett is charged with two counts, murder and battery, in the death of Delphi businessman, JerryS. Hurley, age 36. Brummett, free on bond, is accused of killing Hurley January 21 by causing him to fall over a 73 ft. embankment at the stone quarry in Delphi and by shooting him in the right shoulder with a deadly firearm.
