City Cleans Up Auto Junkyard On Warren StreetThe City of Mt. Vernon collected several junk automobiles Thursday from 1000 Warren St., where Loren and Mary Stull had operated what the city has charged was an illegal junk yard.The city obtained a court order against the Stulls Sept. 7 after Informing the court, that the presence of abandoned vehicles on the Stull property violated the city’s zoning law. The property is outside city limits but within the city’s mile-and-a-half zoning jurisdiction.Two local wrecker services carried out the removal of the automobiles. A city crew was scheduled to gather up spare auto parts there today to finish up the job.'• The court order Instructed the Stulls to remove the * autos themselves, arid gave the fcur the authority to remove them at the Stulls’ expense if the Stulls failed to do it. Judge Charles Quindry also fined the Stulls $200.
