North Des Moines Jarred By Bomb Blast Early Today‘Johnny’s Place’ Partially Wrecked — He Was Shot RecentlyDos Moines (/P) — Northwest Des Moines residents were jarred early today by a bomb which destroyed part of “Johnny’s Place’’, a spaghetti house operated by John CriteUi.First reports said the explosion left a hole “large enough to allow a truck to pass’’ in the front end of the brick structure.Critelli is suffering from a shot gun blast fired several weeks ago by an unknown assailant as the victim got out of his car near his home. He steadfastly has told police that he had no idea who shot him.
