To Face ChargeA 36-vear-old former Manitowoc woman' is presently being held by Los Angeles police for a check forgery incident that occurred in Manitowoc in May of 1974.According to captain of detectives, Robert Schmidt, Det David Egan left Sunday for California to return the woman to Manitowoc to face charges in a case of a forged S202 check.Apparently the woman was arrested in Los Angeles in another forgery case and while LA police were checking into her background, Manitowoc police informed them about the previous charge.The woman has waived extradiction procedures and Det Egan was sent to take her into custody.
