Police Lieutenant,Patrolman Suspended After Juarez RowPolice Chief Robey suspended Radio Patrol Lieut, Earl Hedrick and Patrolman W, R. McCleskey today after Johnny C, Moskal, city fireman, charged the policemen attacked him in a Juarez bar Oct. 10 and then waited on the American side of the Santa Fe bridge to get me,Chief Robey said, No action would have been taken if the policemen had gone home after the fight. But the bad part of the affair was their waiting at the bridge with the intentions of starting more trouble,”Chief Robey reduced Hedrick from the rank of lieutenant to sergeant and placed him on suspension iMr five days, McCleskey drew a 15-aay suspension.Moskal said, I was in the Santa Pe Bar in Juarez with four friends. We were sitting at the bar when Officer McCleskey came up to me and told me that he did not like one of the members of my party. I told him that I liked him, which started an argument. We soon settled the argument and my friends and I decided to leave the bar to avoid any further trouble.“Lieut. Earl Hedrick came up to me and made some remark about my looking belligerent. This started another argument, which ended up in a fist fight. This fight was soon stopped by members of my party, I went back and sat down on a bar stool, McCleskey came up to my side, somewhat in the rear, and struck me. This started another fight.Moskal said Hedrick and McCleskey then left the bar, but told him they intended to wait for him on the other side of the river. He said, Lou Egger, who was in his party, went across the bridge to see if the policemen were waiting for him.
