Missoula, Oct. 19. (/P) -Presentday profits from bootlogging in western Montana do not provide enough margin for fines, defendants in federal court indicated today in asking Judge (icorge M Hourquin to allow them to pay their penalties on the instalment plan.Permission was granted Kd and Jennie Hreseo and Jack Huntley to pay $100 fines at the rate of $10 a month, and others were given stays ranging from five to f*0 days to raise the money.Ralph Hugos and Kd Landes received the stiffest penalties of theterm so far. They were sentencedto three months in jail and w» re ordered to pay tines of $200 each.
