Man Is Arraigned In Miami CourtMIAMI, Okla.—George Slay, 56 years old, was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in county court on a misdemeanor charge of escaping from the county jail and was given 24 hours in which to decide how he wants to plead.Slay, a trusty at the jail, walked away from the jal Tuesday night and was arrested later at Joplin, when he alighted from a bus.Acting Sheriff Tom Spencer went to Joplin Wednesday, and returned the prisoner to Miami. Slay has been serving a term on a charge of entering a building with intent to commit a felony.
